Coda Tricks Extensions
Template License & Purchase Terms
End User License Agreement · Version draft-2026-10-20-1
Last updated on
Our offerings are licensed copies of digital interactive Superhuman Docs templates, collectively known as Coda Tricks Extensions (CTX). These terms govern your template license and our commitments for providing it. Your template supplier and licensor is Individual Entrepreneur (FOP) Danyliuk Pavlo Serhiiovych, trading as Coda Tricks (“we”, “us”, or the “Supplier”).
Choose the section matching the product listing: free templates, paid templates, or free templates with paid Pack dependencies. The common terms at the end apply to all three.
1. Free templates
These are offered through a public document linked from the product listing.
Getting your copy
The Get for free link opens a common public, read-only source document. Copy it directly into your own workspace using Superhuman Docs.
Use, modification, and redistribution
We grant you a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, copy, and modify the Template for personal use or use in your business in any number of workspaces, on any plan, including Enterprise, and with any number of users or paid seats. You may redistribute the original Template and derivative works free of charge, subject to the credit and link requirements below.
When redistributing the Template or a derivative work, credit Coda Tricks as the original creator and prominently display a link to https://codatricks.com/ in the distributed template or derivative work. These permissions have no scheduled expiry, subject to these terms and the termination provisions below.
Creating a derivative work intended for sale, or selling or otherwise charging for distribution of the Template or derivative work, requires our prior written permission. Contact us to negotiate a commercial redistribution license. The written agreement will specify the permitted distribution and compensation, which may be royalty-based or a flat-fee redistribution license.
2. Paid templates
These are offered for a one-time purchase through Paddle. Your purchase covers the version identified in the listing and order.
Purchase through Paddle
For purchases through Paddle, Paddle is the seller and Merchant of Record. Its Buyer Terms govern your transaction with Paddle, alongside its Refund Policy. These terms govern your relationship with us as the template Supplier. They preserve your rights under those Paddle policies and any mandatory law, including any additional protection we expressly offer here.
Review Paddle’s terms before purchasing and keep your order confirmation. Paddle handles the sale, payment collection, and refunds under its own terms; we provide the Template and its license.
Your separate agreement with Paddle, including its governing-law and dispute provisions, continues to govern your relationship with Paddle.
Workspace eligibility at purchase
The standard license covers one workspace which, at the time of purchase, is on a Free, Pro, or Business plan and has no more than 5 paid seats. This includes a legacy Team plan equivalent to Business.
- For a workspace billed through the Superhuman suite, count its paid member seats.
- For a standalone Superhuman Docs or legacy Coda workspace, count its paid Doc Maker seats, including admins billed as Doc Makers.
- Free-plan workspaces qualify regardless of unpaid headcount. The platform’s own limits and the Template’s requirements still apply.
To use the Template in a workspace with more than 5 paid seats, or on Enterprise, obtain a separately agreed license. Email us for a quote before purchasing or using it there. The same applies to additional workspaces and redistribution arrangements for the Template.
The “licensed workspace” is the workspace for which you buy the license. Identify it when requested, and no later than your first copy into it. Its plan and paid-seat count at purchase determine eligibility; selecting a different workspace later does not transfer the license.
Later growth is allowed. If that same workspace subsequently adds paid seats or upgrades to Enterprise, you may continue using the already licensed version without an additional fee or quote. Eligibility is assessed again when you acquire a new license, including for a separately sold newer version.
Your license
Once your order is completed and any amount due is paid, we grant you a non-exclusive license to use the purchased version in the licensed workspace. It has no scheduled expiry, subject to these terms and the termination provisions below.
You may make unlimited copies and modifications within that workspace for your own personal or internal business use. You may allow its authorized users to work with those copies. You are responsible for ensuring that people acting under your license observe its limits.
You may not, without a separate written agreement:
- Copy or move the Template, or a reusable adaptation of it, into a different workspace, even if its owner, company, or administrator is the same. Each additional workspace needs its own license.
- Sell, give away, publish as a reusable template, sublicense, redistribute, or otherwise make the Template or its reusable components available for others to adopt outside the licensed workspace.
- Use a modified, rebranded, or partially extracted version to bypass these restrictions, or transfer your license to another person or organization.
You may share ordinary results of your work, such as reports, with clients or others, provided that doing so does not distribute the reusable Template itself. For client-template delivery, resale, or any broader distribution rights, request a quote.
Delivery and your personal instance
We use the email you enter in Paddle checkout for billing and order correspondence, and also to share your personal instance unless you specify a different Superhuman Docs account email. Before opening checkout, select the different-email option and provide that account email if needed. We receive both your billing/contact email and any separate Docs account email, which is attached to your Paddle order for delivery. Check both addresses carefully and contact us promptly to correct any mistake, quoting your order reference.
We normally share access within 10 minutes after payment is confirmed and we have a valid Docs account email. The document is an instance provisioned for you in our workspace (your “personal instance”). You can test it there, then copy it into the licensed workspace for ongoing use.
If access has not arrived after 10 minutes, check the account email and any sharing notification or spam folder, then email paul@codatricks.com. Please allow at least 24 hours for us to respond before escalating, where reasonably possible. Your legal deadlines and rights to request a refund, contact Paddle, or raise a lawful payment dispute remain protected. Delivery failures and unreasonable delays remain subject to the remedies available under law and Paddle’s terms.
Use sample data in the personal instance
We retain access to that instance because it is in our workspace. Use it only to test-drive the Template. Do not enter real, confidential, sensitive, or third-party personal data, or connect live accounts or credentials. Use your own workspace copy for real work.
Copying preserves the instance’s current contents and configuration, including your edits. If you break something while testing, copying it will also copy the breakage. Ask us for a fresh instance of your purchased version before copying if you need to start again.
We keep the personal instance available for at least 30 days after delivery, subject to platform availability, lawful restrictions, a refund, or valid license termination. After that, we may remove it. You can email us for a fresh instance of your purchased version for the licensed workspace at no additional charge. The original transaction date continues to determine the voluntary refund period.
We record the personal instance’s document ID for delivery and re-provisioning. Access to copies in your own workspace is controlled by your sharing settings.
Refund Policy and protected rights
Our voluntary 14-day refund offer
We offer a full refund of your purchase if you request it within 14 calendar days of the Paddle transaction date, even if you have copied, modified, or used the Template. You do not need to demonstrate a defect or give a reason, subject to the abuse safeguard below.
To request a refund, email paul@codatricks.com with your order reference and Docs account email. We will verify the order and arrange an eligible full refund through Paddle without deducting our payment-processing fees. After 14 days, we may still agree to a voluntary refund case by case.
We may decline a refund under this voluntary offer where there is evidence of fraud or deliberate refund abuse, such as repeated purchases and refunds intended to keep using the Template without a license or deliberately cause processing-fee losses. A good-faith refund request, including requests for more than one product, is not by itself abuse. This safeguard does not limit mandatory rights or Paddle’s independent decisions.
Mandatory remedies and Paddle decisions
The 14-day limit above applies only to our voluntary offer. Nothing in this section removes rights you have under mandatory consumer law or Paddle’s Buyer Terms and Refund Policy, including remedies for non-delivery, material defects, or a product materially different from its description. Such remedies may remain available after 14 days.
You may also have a statutory right to withdraw from a digital-content purchase. Where law permits that right to end when supply begins, the applicable requirements for express consent, acknowledgement, and confirmation must be met. Accepting this EULA or copying a document does not, by itself, establish a waiver of statutory rights.
You can contact Paddle buyer support directly using its processes, including any applicable withdrawal option. Paddle may grant a refund under its policies or legal and payment-provider obligations independently of our voluntary decision. Refunds for Paddle transactions are processed by Paddle.
A full refund or valid full payment reversal ends the license for the affected purchase, subject to mandatory law and Paddle’s processes. Stop using the Template and delete its usable copies and reusable adaptations, including modified copies. This does not require deleting your independently owned data or records you must retain by law, but retained records must not be used to continue exercising the refunded license.
3. Templates with Paid Packs
The Template with Paid Pack tag identifies a template whose core functionality requires an associated paid Pack subscription. The document itself is free to copy; activate its functionality through a Pack trial or subscription in Superhuman Docs.
Getting access
The Get the template button links directly to a common public, read-only source document. Copy it into your workspace at no charge, without a checkout on this storefront. Each listing identifies the associated Pack you need to activate the template’s functionality.
The license in section 1 applies to the document, including the conditions for free redistribution and prior written permission for derivatives intended for sale.
Trials, subscriptions, and billing
After copying the document, start a trial where available or purchase a subscription to its associated Pack through Superhuman Docs to enable the template’s core functionality. Review the Pack listing and your workspace’s eligibility before getting the template.
Individual Pack subscriptions are currently billed monthly per Doc Maker; the Pack listing and Superhuman’s purchase flow show the applicable price and billable seats. Continued use of the template’s Pack-dependent functionality requires active Pack access. To continue after a trial ends, purchase a subscription through Superhuman.
Superhuman handles Pack subscription billing and cancellation through its platform, acting as the developer’s payment-collection agent. Pack payments, trials, cancellations, and refunds are subject to the Superhuman Marketplace Terms, applicable platform terms, and the Pack developer’s terms linked from its listing. The Pack developer’s terms also govern use of the Pack.
4. Common terms
These provisions apply to all templates offered under this agreement.
Who these terms are between
“You” means the individual or organization acquiring the template license. Personal and business purchases are both welcome. You must have legal capacity to enter this agreement and, if acting for an organization, authority to bind it.
The “Template” is the specific template and version identified in the product listing and, for a purchase, your order.
Review the listing, requirements, and these terms before copying or purchasing a Template. Keep a copy of the license terms that apply when you obtain it.

Ownership
Intellectual property rights in the Template remain with us or their respective owners. Your own original content and data remain yours. Mandatory rights and any separately identified third-party licenses remain unaffected.
Superhuman Docs and other dependencies
Templates run in Superhuman Docs (formerly Coda). You need an account and permission to copy documents into your intended workspace. Before copying or ordering, check the product listing for required plan features, Packs, external accounts, and other dependencies, including any features that require a paid plan.
Your platform use remains subject to Superhuman’s Terms of Service or your applicable platform agreement, including its Customer Business Agreement where relevant. Coda Tricks supplies its templates independently of Superhuman.
Superhuman subscriptions and any required paid Packs or third-party services are separate. You are responsible for your accounts, permissions, credentials, lawful use, and backups.
Template versions and DIY scope
Your license covers the version you obtain for do-it-yourself use, identified in the listing and your order where applicable. It does not include implementation, integration, customization, migration, training, ongoing support, or maintenance services. For additional services, email us to discuss a separate arrangement.
Future releases, feature upgrades, and continuing compatibility work are not promised. A newer version is available under the terms on which we offer it. New paid versions may be sold as separate products requiring a new license and a fresh eligibility check. We may choose to provide an update or replacement at no charge, for example to address a critical flaw, without committing to future free updates.
These limits do not remove remedies, fixes, updates, or assistance that mandatory law or our express delivery and re-provisioning commitments require.
As-is provision and your responsibilities
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Template is provided as is and as available, without additional express or implied warranties, including merchantability, satisfactory quality, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not promise particular business results, completely error-free or uninterrupted operation, or compatibility with every customization, integration, or future platform change.
You should assess the stated requirements, test with sample data, review any formulas and automations before relying on them, and maintain appropriate backups. Your edits, third-party changes, unavailable accounts, and platform limits can affect operation.
This section does not override the Template’s express description, our commitments in these terms, or mandatory rights concerning supply, conformity, defects, updates, or other legally required remedies.
Misuse, suspension, and termination
We may terminate the affected license for a material or repeated breach of the applicable use or redistribution conditions. Where the breach can reasonably be fixed, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to do so before termination.
We may take immediate, proportionate protective action where there are reasonable grounds to suspect fraud, deliberate abuse, unlawful distribution, or a security risk. Any review, suspension, or termination remains subject to applicable law and Paddle’s processes. A permanent restriction requires substantiated misconduct.
Serious or repeated violations may result in a permanent refusal of future Coda Tricks purchases or access to other offerings, including Packs and templates, where lawful. Existing rights in other purchased products remain subject to their own terms.
Knowingly false non-delivery claims and fraudulent refund or payment-dispute claims are prohibited. Requesting a lawful refund, reporting a defect, making a good-faith complaint, or exercising a legitimate chargeback right is not itself misconduct. A payment dispute may affect access to the relevant product as allowed by Paddle’s terms and applicable law.
On valid termination, stop using the affected Template and delete usable copies and reusable adaptations, while preserving your independently owned data and legally required records. Retained records must not be used to continue exercising a terminated license. Any refund or other remedy owed to you remains available.
Limits of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, or data arising from use of the Template. For a purchased version, our total liability arising from or relating to it is limited to the amount you paid for it.
These limits do not apply to fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. They do not restrict mandatory consumer rights, an agreed refund, our voluntary refund offer, or Paddle’s obligations to you. For consumers, these exclusions and the cap apply only to the extent permitted by the law protecting that consumer.
Resolving disagreements and governing law
Please first email paul@codatricks.com with the Template name, your order reference if applicable, the issue, and the outcome you are seeking. Before starting ordinary court proceedings, we and you agree to make reasonable, good-faith efforts to resolve the disagreement through direct communication, where lawful and practical. Please allow at least 24 hours for an initial response and a reasonable opportunity to investigate.
You remain free to seek urgent court relief, file in time to protect a deadline, contact Paddle or a competent authority, and use any complaint, withdrawal, refund, or payment-dispute process you are entitled to use. Your right to access a court remains protected.
Ukrainian law governs these terms between you and the Supplier. To the extent a choice of court is legally permitted, disputes under these terms will be heard by the competent courts at the Supplier’s registered place of business in Ukraine. Consumers keep any non-waivable protection under otherwise applicable law and any mandatory right to bring proceedings in another competent court, including in their country of residence where applicable.
Agreed exceptions and later changes
A separate written license or quote accepted by both parties may grant different workspace, seat, or redistribution rights and will govern those expressly agreed exceptions. Mandatory rights and Paddle’s transaction terms remain unaffected.
The version of these terms under which you obtain the Template governs that license. We may publish revised terms for future acquisitions; rights already acquired under an existing license remain protected. A later agreed change or a mandatory legal requirement may apply as permitted by law.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent lawful. For license questions, delivery help, a fresh instance, refunds, additional services, or a custom quote, contact paul@codatricks.com.
